Hakai Wild: Banana Slugs

Banana slug slime trails criss-cross the forest floors of coastal British Columbia. These giant mollusks—the second largest land slug in the world—are part of the forest’s garbage disposal system and are important decomposers of everything from plant matter to animal poop. They aren’t picky eaters.
