Over the long summer science fieldwork season, it’s critical to keep staff and scientists sharp, in shape, and on top of their game. Organized by Hakai Olympic Committee (HOC) President Emma Myers, the Hakai Olympics began with an opening ceremonies led by honorary torch bearer Nelson Roberts.

The festivities ended with medal ceremonies and, of course, the Canadian anthem.
